Ahmed Shah's Tomb

It is also known as Rauza of Sultan Ahmed I who died in A.H. 846 (A.D. 1442). It is located near the entrance on the eastern side of Jami Masjid in Manek Chowk. It was completed in the reign of his son Muhammad Shah II (A.D. 1442-51). This mausoleum also known popularly as 'Badshah ka Hazira' is a square structure with porticos projecting from the middle of each side. The pillared cloisters were provided with screen walls.
