Navlakha Temple

The Shiva temple at Sejakpur also called Navlakha temple is built on a high brick platform. The shrine has a pradakshinapatha, a gudha-mandapa with a closed porch on either side and is roofed by a domical ceiling. The temple is datable to 12th century A.D.

Conservation and Preservation

A small ruined shrine built to the east of the main Navlakha Temple, had suffered from settlement and erosion of the base as a result of earthquake and vandalism in the remote past. In continuation of previous year’s work, the documentation of temple continued, followed by its complete dismantling up to the base, stacking properly architectural members and resetting is in progress
