The temple stands on the bank of Bhogavo River and was built in the memory of Queen Ranak Devi, who became ‘Sati’ at this place. The temple stands on a high plinth. According to legend it was built by Siddhraja Jayasimha. It is a panchratha temple with a shikhara of elegant style. The temple is datable to 13th century A.D.
