Tomb of Mubarak Sayyid

This tomb of Mubarak Sayyid a minister in the court of Mahmud Begada was built in 1484 A.D. Erected on an ornate platform, measuring 29.2 mts square it is approached through a projecting porch on the east. Its central grave chamber, 11 mts square, formed of 12 columns gained by beautiful perforated screens is roofed by a high dome and is enclosed all around by 36 columns forming a double corridor, with arches between each pair roofed by smaller domes. Each column is made of a cluster of four pillars.
